The Arctic has seen record low amounts of Sea Ice for the Month of March with the sea ice over 1 million square kilometres lower than it should be. Also of note is that a record was reached in the South of Argentina South Americas coldest place with the highest daily maximum of 17.5c reached in an area that remains subzero most of the year.
Our latest predictions still put the Arctic Sea Ice minima at 4 million square kilometres next September but what will really determine matters is the rate of melt over the next few downward weeks.
